The initial toy may be considered unsafe for the targeted users aged 7 months and older due to the same parts and hooks that do not meet British Standards.
New ideas of how the toy could look and work meeting BSI. Elements from these where then picked to create OctoAhoy!
Key features of the toy include a reversible face to aid with recognising emotions, a rattle in the handle, a teething-shaped hook, a rattle and rope, a squeaker, and various textures.
The image in the top right illustrates how the product would appear when injection moulded.
